         An introductory note on page vii says, "In the 1937 Town Report Justine Huse, town clerk, stated that the birth records from 1860-1892 had been lost in the town hall fire of 1911. He gave directions for how families could then make birth additions to the records. This undoubtedly accounts for the Birth Corrections volume."
